New Class! Meditation and Buddhism for Beginners
On Tuesday 3 January, we start a new class introducing beginners to meditation and Buddhism. Starting with a talk on Buddhism, we will introduce the meditation (either the Mindfulness of Breathing or the Metta Bhavana) and do a short meditation. You are welcome to stay for tea afterwards to chat with others and ask questions of the teacher.

For those who are familiar with our meditation practices. The class features a talk on Buddhism followed by meditation.

A great way to start the week. For anyone familiar with the two meditations we teach. Although the start time is fixed, you are welcome to leave at any point. Please note: There are no instructions, just bells marking the stages.
The programme:
* Refuges and precepts
* Mindfulness of Breathing (30 minutes) -leg stretch-
* Metta Bhavana (30/35 minutes) -leg stretch-
* Open sit - practice of your own choice (15/20 mins)
We finish around 9am and followed by a shared breakfast, including porridge! Please bring any extra things you (or others) might like (bread for toast, nuts, etc.)
