yoga teachers
Karunachitta
Karunachitta (Andree Shrivell) teaches the classic style of yoga taught by the great B.K.S. Iyengar. Yoga is a system of postures and breathing which balances body and mind - enabling us to live in greater harmony with our environment and ourselves. Karunachitta gained an Iyengar Teaching Certificate in 1990, has recently qualified to teach Intermediate Level 3, and continues to train with other teachers from the Iyengar Institute.
Vimalamitra
Vimalamitra (Graham Rice) gained his Iyengar Teaching Certificate in 2001. He has found that regular yoga practice increases the health, energy and concentration of the practitioner and is an excellent preparation for meditation. After practising you will feel lighter, calmer and more relaxed.
Viprasanna
Like many, Viprasanna initially specialised in one style of Yoga to acquire a sound basis for practice. He has been teaching since 1996 and his approach has evolved to absorb a deeper knowledge of anatomy and make connections with related disciplines. Viprasanna practices and teaches in this evolving context, particularly uniting Yoga and Buddhist practice.
Sarah Whiteley
Sarah has been practicing yoga for twelve years and has recently completed a Teacher Training course based on the work of Vanda Scaravelli. This unique approach allows each person to work at their own pace, releasing tension, responding to gravity and becoming attentive to their breath. Through practice the spine is progressively freed and the body becomes intelligently integrated.
